Our second visit to Socious and just as good as before. Imaginative, tasty and well presented dishes for sharing, although there was a more traditional 2 or 3 course lunch menu. We enjoyed the roasted carrots (who knew a dish based on carrots could be so good!), and the picanha steak. The house rubbed chips were very good. The chocolate bar dessert is worth a try too. Excellent attentive service.

A really buzzing restaurant - full of energy. We were sitting near the pass and saw the enthusiasm and care with which the chefs cooked. Innovative menu of small and medium dishes. We had drinking starters of pumpkin tart and hash browns which were delicious and the gnocchi, tuna tartare, cod and cod fishcakes and the pork - all were delicious and wonderful flavours. The staff were happy and efficient but didn't rush us. You need to book & we booked about 5 months in advance and even then couldn't get the time we wanted but it was a Saturday night.

Our favourite restaurant in North Norfolk, we try and get booked in whenever we're in the area.
The food is outstanding, every dish is delicious. The staff are great, and provide an excellent service.

One of the best meals we have had in a long time. We had all of the starters and all of the sharing mains. We could have eaten it twice over. Wonderful fresh delicious. The golden beetroot and the burata were especially fab. Everything you could ask from a resto. Thank you!!

The best restaurant and foods I had this year. We tried 6 dishes including dessert, everything was cooked and prepared to perfection. Very creative menu and seasonal ingredients. Frendly and professional.

Had a most enjoyable evening here tonight. Efficient, friendly service with a well thought out and executed menu. Nice approach in how you ordered your food and though we knew we were in a formal setting, there was an enjoyable informality. Dishes were interesting, well presented and very tasty.

Would highly reccommend for Sunday lunch. We had the roast beef and the roasted squash and the flavours are exceptional. The menu isn't huge but that's what makes a simple Sunday lunch done well. Buzzy atmosphere and our dog was made very welcome

Possibly the nicest meal I've ever had. Am aware that this sounds like hyperbole. Good range vegan options. Felt totally looked after. Delicious food. Great service . Heaven.
I wrote the above review 3 years ago and am editing it now to say, I dream about this place. It's the one place that my husband and I always say that one day we will go back to. It will forever hold a place in my heart.

This is a brilliant restaurant perfect for a long lunch or dinner. All the plates are served tapas/sharing style for a very social dining experience. The menu is great and plenty of choices to suit all dietary requirements. The service is excellent and you will never feel rushed, just order at your own pace and enjoy the well thought through and extensive wine and cocktail list:-) Deserts are off the charts! Highly recommended. And dogs very welcome 🐾❤️

Came here for my birthday and was amazed at how welcoming the service is from all the staff, food was beautiful as was the presentation, service was quick there was no long waits for food or drinks, I even got a free glass of bubbles AND dessert piece because it was my birthday which made it extra special couldn't recommend this place enough, they really do go the extra mile with a smile 😊

We had an incredible experience at Socius on their September Supper Club evening. The food was fantastic, the wind pairings were imaginative and coherent with the food and there was a buzzy atmosphere all evening. One of the best experiences we've had. Thanks to the Socius team.

It is a tasting/tapas style place with the kitchen on show. It has been recommended by various organisations including the AA and Michelin.
Very good food, oyster arinchini was a personal favourite along with the pork belly. My party also enjoyed the tuna tartar and the salmon, though personally I wondered if they would have benefited from stronger flavours. It is of a standard you would expect of one of the best restaurants in the area. Though I would be interested to compare it to restaurants of a similar style in a more competitive area. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The desserts were also very good. If you want to try fine dining it's definitely a good option. As you would expect it is not cheap. The wine selection was extensive although there were not many beers and none on draught.
The restaurant was reasonably loud with the kitchen being open to view, questionable music and being quite busy. There was also a strong and unpleasant strange smell for a few moments, which then disappeared quite quickly, but did effect the dining experience.
Overall, I would recommend it if you have the money to spare and are in the North Norfolk area.

A fantastic dining experience. We were lucky enough to order almost everything off the menu and all 4 of us shared each dish. Everything we ate we devoured. The staff were delightful, informed and relaxed and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing. I look forward to returning.

Our third time here (visited by from London) and still one of our favourite restaurants anywhere. Everything was interesting and flavourful and we love the small plates sharing concept as it means we get to try more fabulous food. Fine dining at its best. Definitely worth a visit if you love good food.

Amazing food and very friendly service. I loved the fact there was very creative vegetarian dishes and at the same time my dad said the pork belly was the best meal he’s ever had. There was a small wait between some dishes but other than that it was a great experience, definitely worth booking way in advance!
(Just make sure to order the “Socius chocolate bar”, wouldn’t waste your time considering anything else, it’s that good.)

A great menu of sharing plates, with lots of fish, meat and veg options. All presented beautifully, and all absolutely delicious! A really excellent restaurant in every respect - thoughtful and imaginative food, exceptionally friendly and professional service and staff interactions, and clean and airy surrounds. We absolutely loved it - the best meal we've had in a long time. Thoroughly recommend.

The service and all dishes were excellent, but what stood out to me personally was the affogato dessert. I've never had it with tiramisu cream and amaretti crumbs and it was fantastic. The best affogato I've had to date.

Absolutely top notch dining. Hats off to the chef, every meal was unique in its own way and incredibly tasty. The girls delivered exceptional service, didn't miss a beat. Will definitely be returning at some point in the future..
